About DiscoChores

Built by someone who was overwhelmed.

It's 11am. You're standing in your kitchen. You can see every single thing that needs to get done, and you can't seem to do any of it.

For founder Chelsea Harrison, 2025 was a rough year.

After more than a decade climbing the corporate ladder she was burnt out and struggling. She felt pulled in a million directions by a crushing workload and everything else it takes to be a "functioning adult". She felt like there was no escape from constant need to do the dishes, sort the piles of mail, put up the curtains she bought forever ago, and so on, and so on, forever.

One day she went looking for something to help keep her organized and motivate her to get things done week after week, but couldn't find one that felt just right. So she decided to make it. A huge circle, cut out from cardboard and drawn on with sharpie to look like a disco ball.

She put numbers in every square, then she wrote down everything that was stressing her out.

In a couple of weeks she got more done than she had in the previous six months. Ordinary tasks started to feel almost exciting, because each one meant she was closer to finishing her disco ball.

DiscoChores grew out of that cardboard disco ball.
